Colonial Country Club, a private club in Fort Worth, Texas, opened in 1936, a design collaboration between John Bredemus and Perry Maxwell. It holds the unique distinction of having hosted a men's major, the U.S. Open, along with the Players Championship and the U.S. Women's Open. The club is best known as the continuous home of the PGA Tour's Colonial National Invitation (now the Charles Schwab Challenge) since 1946. Its traditional parkland layout, gracefully set along the Trinity River, became deeply intertwined with the legend of Ben Hogan, a five-time champion at Colonial.
Colonial needs to rethink who they put in charge. There needs to be an investigation into their management. I am absolutely appalled at the way I heard management speak to their staff. These are people too. There clearly needs to be more training done at this
I played on July 29 and I couldn’t have been more impressed at not just the Course, but the Staff was Amazing. I will definitely be back soon, thank you for a great round!
This particular tournament was never really in doubt Sunday, but we had fun. The course was pretty and easily walkable. Crowd was large but things flowed pretty smoothly out on the course, waiting for concessions, restrooms, and hanging out or shopping in the
