Established in 1897, the Country Club of Detroit is a distinguished private club located in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Its golf course has undergone significant architectural evolution, originally designed by Bert Way and later profoundly influenced by H.S. Colt and Charles Alison. A major redesign was completed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., in 1952, and a 2011 renovation sought to restore the Colt and Alison vision. The club is known for its deep history within the Detroit metropolitan area.
