Founded in 1887, the oldest country club in New Jersey, located in West Orange. A.W. Tillinghast routed a layout on the present site in 1918, but the current course is largely the work of Seth Raynor and Charles Banks (~1925), notable for its Macdonald/Raynor template holes; Gil Hanse did restoration work. A respected, historically important private club with strong architectural pedigree.

Bethpage Black meets Wild Turkey. ECCC is my new favorite course in North NJ! A true test with elevation changes, tiered greens and steep green side bunkers - challenging, but not unfair. Dining service and food quality was fantastic, as well.
