Sunningdale opened in Scarsdale in 1918, a Seth Raynor course built with C.B. Macdonald's template holes and later touched by Walter Travis and A.W. Tillinghast. Mike DeVries's restoration brought Raynor's original angles and squared greens back into view.
Private club in Scarsdale, NY (named for the English club, not the same course), with its current course opening in 1918. Designed by Seth Raynor (with C.B. Macdonald advising) and later reworked by Walter Travis and A.W. Tillinghast, with restoration by Mike DeVries. A solid, historically interesting Westchester private club.
